Hi! I’m Melissa and I couldn’t be happier you’re here! I am the heart and the hands behind this little design studio, and a one-woman show! I unknowingly started Hello Invite in 2010, after designing all of the wedding stationery for my very own wedding! I loved every wedding planning minute, and got my first inquiry DURING our wedding reception! From there, it snowballed from a hobby to a full-time job!

Growing up, my mom always told me that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. Creating of any kind has always given me joy. It’s something I look forward to doing every single day and while it is in fact my job, it has never felt like “work”.

Over the years, I’ve come to realize how valuable this paper is. Not in the sense of monetary value, but the life cycle …. While this is one very important day in your life, the day will inevitably come and go in the blink of an eye. But the tangible keepsakes such as your stationery, and all the intimate little physical details, you will be able to pick up and hold them forever, while you smile and reminisce!

It would mean the world to me to create something special just for you!

ONE

I’m married to my high school sweetheart! We met when we were just 14 years old! We were freshmen in high school (although we went to 2 different schools) and before I ever agreed to date him, he was one of my best friends!

Gift wrapping might be my favorite hobby (if that’s even a thing?) If I could wrap everything in pretty paper with a big giant bow and a cute little tag, I totally would. Basically, I love all paper, ribbon and tags… sounds about right!

THREE

My favorite color is blue! Any and all shades of it! It reminds me of the ocean, which is so calming and relaxing to me, especially the Caribbean. It’s my happy place! Why we haven’t moved there yet, I haven’t quite figured out.

FOUR

I don’t drink coffee (literally everyone everywhere in the world gasps in disbelief!) or caffeine (everyone gasps louder). So what do I drink? Ice cold water, emphasis on ice - I like it extra cold, and occasionally, if I’m feeling crazy, lemonade!

FIVE

I quite possibly may have the loudest belly laugh known to man. It’s embarrassing and startling and can be heard from miles (possibly even states) away. Thankfully, I never take myself too seriously, so if you have a sense of humor, let’s be friends!

BONUS

My family is my entire world. I have two little babies that completely changed my life for the better. I get the greatest pleasure by dressing them alike and having mini photoshoots. Their tiny little features and sweet little voices and giggles make my heart melt into a puddle. If anyone can help me figure out how to make time stand still so I can soak them in a little longer, please reach out ASAP!
