Kristen and Todd met with me, sharing all of their wedding visions and Pinterest boards. They had so many ideas for their vintage themed wedding invitations. Kristen wanted to try an invitation different than one I had ever done before, and I couldn’t have been more excited.
That’s when (what I now call) the tri-fold style was born. The tri-fold invite is a combination of a traditional invitation (the invitation + 2 enclosure cards) and a gatefold, commonly seen in programs and marketing materials. The outer two panels fold in and was sealed with a monogram die cut tag with a slightly larger die cut teal tag backer, complete with Swarovski pearls on the vintage scroll design. This style creates a beautifully presented ‘package’ as your guests pull it out of its envelope. Once you open the gatefolds, you have your enclosure card information on the two side panels, and your invitation directly in the center. The only extra insert is your response card + envelope, and sliding nicely inside the gatefolds. It’s the whole, perfectly packaged, package!
